Биологические особенности и возделывание кунжута (обзор)

Аннотация

Кунжут – одна из старейших масличных культур, выращиваемая во всем мире благодаря уникальным свойствам семян. Род Sesamum L. относится к cем. Pedaliaceae Lindl., включает до 38 видов. Единственный культурный вид S. indicum L. (2n = 26) широко культивируется во многих странах мира. Он распространен на территориях от тропических до холодно-умеренных зон, расположенных между 45° с. ш. и 45° ю. ш. Родиной S. indicum считают Южную Африку. Семена кунжута содержат 50–63% масла, до 27% белка, 20% углеводов и являются источниками меди, кальция, железа, магния, цинка, витаминов А, В1, С и Е. Семена и масло кунжута используют не только в пищевой промышленности, но и в медицине. Кунжутный шрот – хороший корм для скота. В последнее время, благодаря расшифровке ядерного генома кунжута и разработке различных геномных технологий, стала возможна молекулярная селекция для таких агрономических признаков, как урожай семян, высокое содержание масла и его качество, устойчивость к засухе, переувлажнению, поражению болезнями. Мировое производство семян кунжута, по оценкам ФАО на 2019 г., составило около 7 млн тонн. Наибольшие площади посева сосредоточены в странах Африки, Индии и Китае. В Российской Федерации кунжут можно выращивать в южных регионах: Краснодарском крае, Ставрополье, Ростовской и Астраханской областях. Селекционная работа по кунжуту проводилась во ВНИИ масличных культур, созданы сорта, устойчивые к ряду заболеваний, в первую очередь к бактериозу и фузариозу. В настоящее время селекционные разработки в России практически не ведутся. Свыше 25 тыс. образцов кунжута насчитывается в генбанках мира, в том числе 1,5 тыс. образцов – в коллекции ВИР.
