Основной стратегией создания коммерческих сортов, обладающих высокой урожайностью и комплексной устойчивостью к неблагоприятным факторам, является привлечение новых источников и доноров адаптивно значимых и хозяйственно ценных признаков. Уникальными генными комплексами могут обладать географически отдаленные и стародавние сорта; их потенциал требует изучения в конкретных почвенно-климатических условиях.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. Материал исследования – 24 образца яровой мягкой пшеницы, включенные в коллекцию ВИР с 1928 по 2015 г. Для характеристики образцов использована система балльной оценки селекционно ценных признаков. Учитывали продолжительность вегетации и межфазных периодов, урожайность, устойчивость к полеганию, высоту растений, продуктивную кустистость, продуктивность главного колоса, массу 1000 зерен, содержание белка в зерне, содержание хлорофилла в листьях. Сорта, обладающие комплексом признаков, определяли по сумме баллов. Оценивали также устойчивость к распространенным в Кировской области болезням.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Выявлена сопряженность урожайности с селекционно ценными признаками, показаны изменения корреляционных связей в зависимости от метеоусловий. Выделены источники ценных признаков. Эффективность генов устойчивости к мучнистой росе Pm4b, Pm5 и септориозу Stb2, Stb6, Stb9 против местных популяций патогенов не установлена. Отмечена эффективность гена Pm1 и нескольких Lr-генов. Установлен положительный тренд повышения индекса интенсивности сортов (ИИС), созданных за 90-летний временной промежуток.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Для создания в Кировской области новых высокоинтенсивных иммунных сортов выделен исходный материал, характеризующийся комплексом ценных хозяйственно-биологических признаков.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Background</title><p>Background. The main strategy for the development of commercial cultivars with high yields and complex resistance to unfavorable factors is to attract new sources and donors of traits important for adaptability and agronomic use. Geographically distant cultivars as well as landraces may have unique sets of genes, so their potential requires studying under specific soil and climate conditions.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. Twenty-four spring bread wheat accessions, included in the VIR collection in the period from 1928 to 2015, served as the material for the study. A scoring system for important breeding traits was used to characterize them. The following indicators were measured: the duration of the growing season and interphase periods, yield, lodging resistance, plant height, productive tillering, productivity of the main ear, weight of 1000 grains, protein content in grain, and chlorophyll content in leaves. Cultivars with a set of traits were identifying using the sum of points. Resistance to leaf and ear diseases common for Kirov Province was assessed.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Correlations between yield and traits important for breeding were observed, and the changes in correlation links depending on weather conditions were shown. Sources of valuable traits were identified. The effectiveness of the powdery mildew resistance genes Pm4b and Pm5, and Septoria resistance genes Stb2, Stb6 and Stb9 was not ascertained against local pathogen populations. The effectiveness of the Pm1 gene and several Lr-genes was observed. A positive trend of increasing the intensity index of cultivars (IIC) developed over a 90-year period was established.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
